On April 2 afternoon, the Launch Ceremony for the International College of Pharmaceutical Innovation Soochow University was held at the Future Campus. Distinguished attendees included Nicholas O'Brien Ambassador of Ireland, David Murphy Consul General of Ireland in Shanghai, Fang Jun Chairman of the Chinese-Foreign Institutional Cooperation Commission (CEAIE) , Yang Shubing Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Liu Bo Vice Mayor of Suzhou Municipal Government, Li Ming, Party Secretary of the Wujiang District, Deborah McNamara President of RCSI, Cathal Kelly Vice chancellor of RCSI, Zhang Xiaohong, Party Secretary of Soochow University; and Zhan Qimin Dean of Suzhou Medical College and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).
The event was also attended by representatives from the RCSI delegation, provincial and municipal education authorities, Suzhou's Foreign Affairs Office, Wujiang District officials, leaders of prominent Suzhou high schools, representatives from leading pharmaceutical enterprises and innovative drug companies, heads of Soochow University's affiliated hospitals and relevant departments, as well as faculty, students, and parents.
