Who We Are

The International College of Pharmaceutical Innovation (ICPI) is a new research-oriented institution jointly established by Soochow University and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Leveraging the strengths of both universities and the thriving biopharmaceutical ecosystem in Suzhou, ICPI focuses on innovative drug research and development, translational medicine, and the nurturing of globally competitive talents. As the first Sino-foreign joint education institute in the field of pharmacy approved by the Ministry of Education, ICPI aligns with China’s innovation-driven development strategy. Characterized by the in-depth integration of"industry-academia-research-medicine", the college is dedicated to building a world-class platform for innovative drug development and talent training.

The college has a 17,000-square-meter state-of-the-art teaching and research building. Our faculty excels in cutting-edge fields such as nucleic acid therapeutics, mRNA vaccines, advanced drug delivery systems, cellular level-pharmacoanalysis, and molecular biology cancer.Soochow University’s pharmaceutical sciences, a nationally recognized first-class discipline, ranked in the top tier in the fifth round of national discipline evaluations, with Pharmacology & Toxicology ranking among the top 1‰ in the ESI global rankings. RCSI, Ireland’s most prestigious medical school, leads the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for "Health and Well-being".

In 2024, the college made a remarkable debut in its first enrollment with excellent student quality.
