Ms. Michelle Kirrane Scott
Biography
Michelle Kirrane-Scott is a Teacher Practitioner for Management, Professionalism and Leadership at the RCSI School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences. She is also a registered pharmacist and graduated from the University of Manchester in 2008. She subsequently completed a Master in Clinical Pharmacy with Queen’s University, Belfast (2014). She is an EMCC Registered Coach (Professional Diploma in Personal, Leadership & Executive Coaching 2020) and has recently completed a further Professional Diploma in Clinical Leadership with the Graduate School of Management at RCSI (2023) and a Health Professions Education Diploma (2025).
Michelle has nine years’ experience working in the paediatric clinical pharmacy setting in both Ireland and the UK where she received awards for “Young Hospital Pharmacist of the Year” at the Irish Pharmacy News Awards, “Excellence in Hospital Pharmacy” and “Overall Pharmacist of the Year” at the Helix Health Pharmacist Awards. Her collaborative work in Antimicrobial Stewardship with Dr Rob Cunney was a finalist at the HSE Healthcare Excellence Awards.
This was followed by roles within quality assurance and professional development for pharmacists in Ireland (Irish Institute of Pharmacy) and as Simulation Manager with RCSI SIM. She is also an alumna of the Advance HE Aurora programme for female leaders.
Additional details:
Distinction Master’s in Clinical Pharmacy with Queen’s University Belfast - thesis aimed to contribute directly to improved patient care and outcomes, through pharmacist-led clinics for education and training interventions on paediatric asthma control.
